I do a wide range of crafting . Anywhere from making little things for the shelf to making custom shutters for the outside of your house. PLEASE if you have any ideas of something you would like, email me. But to run down a few options:
HOME DECOR ITEMS: I love to build the little things that say who you are. Are you a turtle person? A mermaid lover? A dolphin watcher? Sea horse enthusiast? I keep my eyes open looking for the cool piece of driftwood, the perfect seashell, the great idea, anything that I run across that I think would make a really nice piece to let you voice your “Coastal Attitude”. But if you have something in mind, please ask. You’d be surprised what I can make given the right idea!!!
DRIFTWOOD: I love to get out on the water and find that awesome piece of driftwood that speaks to you. I try to keep a good bit on hand so if you’re looking for a special piece, something big or something small, let me know. I might have what you’re looking for. Or would you like to go on your own driftwood adventure??? Contact me and we can discuss taking you out on the water so you can find that one-of-a-kind piece yourself!!!
SAWMILL and ROUGH LUMBER: I have a small sawmill and enjoy cutting lumber. I do ornamental stuff, not production to make a house out of. Did grandpa plant a special tree that got knocked down in a storm? Was there a beautiful tree that was in your yard that eventually died? Did a huge oak limb fall and squash your car? Let these unique pieces of wood become some cool art piece with an awesome story!!!
FAMILY HEIRLOOMS: Do you have something in your home that means something to you but doesn’t really fit your decor? How about making the perfect nautical lamp out of an old vase or coffee pot? Putting old jewelry on a special piece of driftwood? Making the perfect picture frame out of an old broken piece of furniture? What would you like to re-purpose?
Crafters!! The stuff that I do is unique. Everything handmade takes on the artists character. I enjoy the fact that there are other great local artists here at the beach and I’m always willing to share! I constantly keep my eye open for local stuff that could be made into a beautiful art piece. I run across a lot! Do you need some old dock lumber? Dock lumber picture frame? Driftwood? Old windows? Doors? I can make bulk wooden slat canvas, shelves, round wood pieces, just about anything. Don’t buy materials from the store, get them from the coast! Let me know what you can use. I might have what you’re looking for!!
Artists, Photographers!! I make handmade custom frames like you won’t find anywhere else. I know you can go to the box stores and get a frame but you’ll never find one like MY frames. Each is hand made, mostly from wood I gather around here at the coast. Some I use an ancient oriental wood burning technique to make a frame that will dazzle your eye. Some I antique with colors that scream “coastal” or with the color that suits you. Why put that special picture or artwork in a commercial made frame. Frame it with a piece of the actual coast to show off your coastal attitude!!
Tiki Head Kits: These kits contains everything you need to build your own unique tiki head. But simply by adding some imagination you can make a wonderful art piece!! Each kit contains different pieces so no two are alike. But this is only the beginning!!!!! Are you staying at the beach? Why not pick up seashells or driftwood pieces and make your very own creation! Collect shells all week and by the time you go back home you’ll have your own REAL piece-of-the-beach souvenir! Special occasions or holidays? Use construction paper or cardboard to cut out a face only you could love!! What cool things do you have that would make this Tiki a perfect decoration!! Be creative!!!! The possibilities are endless. Use your imagination! Anyone can make a face with these kits but look round you… What do you see that would make a great face. Show your friends what you can do!! Included are paint cups, paint brush, glue stick, and various wooden face pieces. Mixing the paint with a little water makes it go a long way. By mixing different colors, you can create your own cool colors! Use the glue stick to put everything together. Use the glue sparingly if you want to change to something different later. Use it liberally if you want to make a lasting connection. But don’t stop there! Use your own art supplied to really make a cool tiki.
